This external battery charger is designed to charge VP-8G batteries separately from the machine. While the VP-8G battery can be charged directly when attached to the unit, this charger allows you to power up an additional battery on its own — perfect for keeping a spare ready for uninterrupted use.

PS: This battery charging dock works with the home AC charger that comes with your machine. If you’d like to run the machine on AC power while charging an extra battery at the same time, you’ll need an additional home charger. For convenience, you can select the Battery Charger Bundle option above, which includes both a charging dock and an AC charger.
